The Challenge

Nexus Retail Group had outgrown their monolithic Shopify theme. Load times were creeping over 4 seconds, mobile conversions were tanking, and their marketing team was blocked from creating the editorial, highly-curated landing pages that luxury buyers expect.

They needed complete frontend freedom and instantaneous page loads, without migrating away from Shopify's ironclad backend inventory and checkout systems.

The Solution

We engineered a Headless Commerce architecture, utilizing a static Next.js frontend deployed on Vercel, querying Shopify’s Storefront API. This immediately obliterated load time issues by serving pre-rendered pages globally via CDN.

We implemented a robust Headless CMS (Sanity.io) alongside the storefront, empowering the marketing team to drag-and-drop highly complex, media-rich editorial layouts without ever needing a developer or touching the codebase again.

Performance & Omnichannel

A luxury shopping experience requires perfection at every touchpoint. We focused on optimizing the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) and First Input Delay (FID) to ensure the site feels as fast as a native app. By implementing advanced image optimization and code-splitting techniques, we reduced the JavaScript bundle size by 60%, leading to a significant boost in performance on mobile devices.

Beyond the web, we architected the headless stack to support omnichannel growth. The same API layer now powers Nexus's mobile app and in-store kiosks, ensuring a consistent brand experience across all platforms. This unified approach has not only increased operational efficiency but also provided Nexus with a holistic view of their customer journey.
